Coach Mandy

Growing up in Kitsap County, volleyball has always been a significant part of my life. I played club volleyball throughout my youth and competed on the Central Kitsap High School varsity team. In college, I continued playing through club and intramural volleyball while also coaching 6th and 7th grade athletes, where I discovered my passion for helping young players develop both their skills and confidence.

After college, I stepped away from the game to focus on raising my family. In 2019, I returned to coaching with Olympic Premier Volleyball Club (OPVBC), where I have assisted with many teams boy and girls ranging from 14-17 years old. Returning to the sport has only strengthened my love for the game and the positive impact sports can have on young athletes.

Having grown up in Kitsap County, it is especially meaningful to now serve the same community that helped shape me as both a player and a person. I am passionate about giving back by helping the next generation of athletes discover their potential, develop confidence, and experience the same love for volleyball that has given me so much throughout my life.

I believe volleyball teaches so much more than technical skills. It builds resilience, confidence, discipline, teamwork, and character. One of the greatest rewards of coaching is watching players grow; not only as athletes, but as confident young people off the court as well.

I bring a competitive spirit to every practice and match, encouraging athletes to compete with intensity, embrace challenges, and always give their best effort. My goal is to help players understand that hard work produces results, growth comes from stepping outside their comfort zone, and that even the hardest moments can be fun when you’re surrounded by teammates who support one another.

I am passionate about creating a positive, challenging environment where every athlete feels encouraged to improve, compete, and develop a lifelong love for the game. It is an honor to invest in the volleyball community that invested in me, and I am excited to help the next generation of Kitsap athletes pursue their goals both on and off the court.
